being aroace AND lesbian, vincian, mspec+an informational carrd regarding the aromantic and asexual spectrums, and the aroace spectrum

“you can’t be both.”

╰┈➤ (liar, you can!)

many people often mistake aromantic, asexual, and aro-ace as the following.
aromantic means you don’t experience any romantic attraction,
asexual means you don’t experience any sexual attraction,
and aroace means you don’t experience any of either.
while this is what they mean as individual labels, all three of these terms are also umbrella termsaromantic umbrella - identities that experience a varied amount or frequency of romantic attraction at different times, experience very little romantic attraction, rarely experience romantic attraction, only experience romantic attraction under certain circumstances, don’t know if they experience romantic attraction, can’t tell if they experience romantic attraction or if it’s another form of attraction, fluctuate between different identities along the aromantic spectrum, and many more definitions.asexual umbrella - identities that experience a varied amount or frequency of sexual attraction at different times, experience very little sexual attraction, rarely experience sexual attraction, only experience sexual attraction under certain circumstances, don’t know if they experience sexual attraction, can’t tell if they experience sexual attraction or if it’s another form of attraction, fluctuate between different identities along the asexual spectrum, and many more definitions.aro-ace spectrum- being somewhere on both the aromantic and asexual spectrums, but not necessarily on the exact same spot for both. (example: a demiromantic and aceflux person.)so what does this have to do with identifying as les/vinc/mspec at the same time?as stated above, some/most people along the aromantic, asexual, or aroace spectrums experience some romantic and/or sexual attraction. even if it is very little, spaced out, weak, or rare, they still experience it at some capacity. so, when they do experience it, who are they attracted to? well, they’re attracted to the individuals included in the lesbian, vincian, or mspec sexuality that they also identify as.an example:
a greyromantic demisexual vincian. they rarely experience romantic attraction, but when they do, it is towards non-women. they only experience sexual attraction once an emotional bond is formed, but when they do, it’s towards non-women.
same goes for lesbian and mspec identities.

hope this helped! <3
